The name ‘Nag Tibba,’ meaning ‘Serpent’s Peak,’ is steeped in local legend and is believed to be the abode of the Serpent God. This trek begins in the quaint village of Pantwari with a rocky uphill climb, eventually merging into a shepherd’s trail marked by gentle ascents and steep descents.
The trail leads through dense forests of Rhododendron and Oak, with snow-covered sections adding an element of challenge. After trekking for about 5.5 kilometers, the forest opens up to a small clearing where the Nag Mandir is located, offering mesmerizing views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. This serene spot serves as the campsite for the day, making it an ideal place to relax and soak in the natural beauty.
